From the mists of the Otherworld is born Adfeilion, a five piece atmospheric and experimental post-folk metal band from south wales that weaves sonic landscapes of enchanted forests, ruined castles and heroic kings. Their first album, ‘Hela’, was released in 2023 and explores the fusion of Paganism and Christianity in Dark Age Wales. 

Riding the success of this sound, The band went on to claim victory in the South Wales Battle of the Bands in 2024, followed by a win at the Metal to the Masses competition in early 2025 — a triumph that earned them a coveted slot at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2025. Through this fierce battle, a new sound was forged, bringing immersive live elements to the recorded sound. This created the 2025 album titled ‘Rhyfelwyr’. Having debuted at Bloodstock Open Air, Rhyfelwyr launches the band, and the audience, into a new and exciting adventure.
